AUTHORITY TO MAKE ADMINISTRATIVE APPEAL DETERMINATIONS UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA) AND PRIVACY ACT

 

In accordance with the authority delegated to me as the Director of the Mint, pursuant to 31 CFR Part 1, Subpart A, Freedom of Information Act and 31 CFR Part 1, Subpart C, Privacy Act, I hereby delegate to the Deputy Director of the Mint the authority to make administrative appeal decisions on the initial denial of records or other adverse determinations made by the Mint under the Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy Act.

This authority may not be redelegated to subordinate officials.

The exercise of this authority shall be in accordance with all applicable statutes and regulations and any such other instructions and procedures as may be prescribed by the Department of the Treasury, United States Mint, and, as appropriate, other Federal agencies.
