For the first time in history, the United States Mint has produced a collectible package with genuine Braille text. The United States Mint Braille Education Set features an uncirculated 2009 Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar coin, education information and readable Braille.
This limited-edition cover—only 40,000 will be produced—is the 11th in the American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series. The coin cover features two James K. Polk $1 Coins, one each from the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver, from the first day of production at that facility—June 1, 2009 (Philadelphia), and June 15, 2009 (Denver).
The United States Mint is proud to offer the public the opportunity to own a beautiful 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin. This one ounce, 24-karat gold coin is a triumph in coin design representing the culmination—more than a century in the making—of a partnership between a renowned artist, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, and a visionary leader, President Theodore Roosevelt.
Meet the President known as "Old Rough and Ready"!
