Tasha Beckwith hails from the city of Indianapolis, Indiana, where her artistic journey began to unfold. Even during her formative years, Tasha’s curiosity was kindled by the world of art, nurtured by her aunt’s own creative prowess. This early influence propelled her to immerse herself in the realm of artistic expression, eventually leading her to the distinguished halls of Herron School of Art and Design, from which she proudly graduated in 2006.
Post-college, Tasha’s thirst for innovation beckoned her beyond traditional mediums. She embarked on an exploratory journey into the realm of digital art, drawn by the allure of its boundless possibilities. Through countless hours of dedication and discovery, she skillfully intertwined her classical training with the digital canvas, birthing a distinctive style that we see today.
Today, Tasha Beckwith stands not only as an artist but as a conduit of connection, a weaver of dreams, and a bearer of beauty. Tasha recently received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Herron School of Art and Design, and the Center for Leadership Developments Achievement in Arts Award.
Tasha’s ultimate artistic objective is to illuminate and honor the profound beauty within the Black community, inviting viewers to appreciate and cherish the richness of this beauty through the unique lens of her art.
