WASHINGTON — The United States Mint will open sales for the William Howard Taft $1 Coin Cover (product code P47) on August 6 at noon Eastern Time (ET). This is the 27th issue in the United States Mint American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series, which launched in 2007.
This limited edition coin cover includes two circulating quality William Howard Taft Presidential $1 Coins honoring President Taft’s term in office (1909 – 1913) from the first day of mintage at the United States Mint – February 11, 2013, for the Philadelphia facility, and February 6, 2013, for the Denver facility. The coins are mounted on a display card that is placed inside an envelope bearing a U.S. Patriotic Star postage stamp. The postmark August 6, 2013, Cincinnati, OH, certifies this limited edition.
The William Howard Taft $1 Coin Cover is priced at $19.95, with total mintage set at 20,000 units.
